Study of abnormal uterine bleeding associated with thyroid disorders

Background: Abnormal uterine bleeding from the vagina that usually occurs when ovary do not release egg and if it occurred during fertile years leads to various complication like anemia, Infertility etc. among all causes one of most common cause abnormal is disturbance in level Thyroid hormones. Methods: 100 female Patients age group between 20-45 having complain visited at Gynec OPD our institute were included this study. fasting blood samples was taken participants analyzed for function test (TSH, T3, T4) central laboratory hospital. Obtained data statistically by using prizam software. Results: The abnormality found women polymenorrhagia menorrhagia.32% patients who studied, had thyroid dysfunction, which 18% subclinical hypothyroidism, 11% hypothyroidism only 3% hyperthyroidism. Conclusions: Our study concludes dysfunction should be considered as an important etiological factor menstrual especially years.
